Client inspection completed at depot control room

The joint inspection covered the full electrical and control scope: motor control centres, fire and gas detection panels, and the pump control systems that will run the depot day to day. Each system was function-tested in front of the client’s engineers and documented in the commissioning dossier.

Walking the plant together also gave the operations team hands-on familiarisation with the equipment they will operate — from the control room panels to the pumps and valves in the field. Handover training sessions are scheduled over the coming weeks.

Pipeline tie-in works progressing at fuel depot

Our fabrication crews are welding the final spools that connect the new lines into the live tank farm. Every joint is visually inspected and radiographed where the specification requires it, with full traceability from material certificate to weld map.

Because the depot remains in operation throughout, each tie-in is executed under a strict permit-to-work with isolations confirmed jointly with the operator. The remaining connections are planned around scheduled product movements to avoid any interruption to supply.

Safety coordination meeting with operations team

The session walked through the lift plans, hot-work zones and isolation points for the upcoming construction phase, with both teams agreeing the permit boundaries before any work begins. Toolbox talks will carry the same information to every crew on site.

Regular coordination meetings like this one are a standing fixture on MBA projects. They keep the client’s operations team and our construction crews working from the same plan — and they are a key reason our projects finish without incidents.

Marine pipeline works completed at coastal terminal

Marine crews working from boats and floating platforms strung, positioned and joined the pipeline sections between the jetty and the shoreline. Divers carried out the subsea connections while topside teams handled welding and coating above the waterline.

With the line now hydrotested and commissioned, tankers can discharge directly to onshore storage — cutting handling time and removing the weather window that road transfers used to depend on.

New storage tank erected with precision crane lift

The lift was the culmination of weeks of planning: ground bearing checks, rigging studies and a full lift plan reviewed with the client before the crane arrived on site. The roof section was set down within tolerance on the first attempt.

With the structure complete, the crew now moves to weld-out, NDT inspection and hydrotesting. Once the coating system is applied, the tank will be ready to take its first product.

Offshore jetty platform reaches final milestone

Piling, deck structure and topside equipment are now complete, and the unloading arms have been swung and function-tested. The walkways and safety systems passed inspection together with the client’s marine surveyor.

Once the connecting pipeline is commissioned, the platform will let larger vessels berth and discharge directly to the depot — a significant upgrade to the terminal’s receiving capacity.
